In Intro to Rock Climbing we focus on personal skill development for people that are wanting to take their first step, be it the very first step in rock climbing or moving to the outside of the indoor climbing gyms. The main goal, besides having fun, is to be able to go out on your own after the course with a good basic foundation on how to move on on your own.
This course focuses on skill development in mountaineering equipment, glacier travel, mountain safety, snow anchors, mountaineering techniques and peak climbing.
In this course you learn the basics on how to travel in glaciated and mountain terrain. The objective is to travel safely and efficiently as well as how to conduct a creveasse rescue when needed.
